Our Team
Meet our G&W team. We’re committed to providing you with the best service and highest return on your investment. This commitment begins with our management. We pride ourselves in a lean management structure. Just as you can expect clear pricing and products that support your bottom line, you also can count on our team for transparency and efficiency.
The Sabbagh family has been involved in leadership roles since 1988. Today, the second generation of the Sabbagh family is active in the day-to-day operations. As a locally owned, family company, our people are important to us. With our business structure, G&W customers are no more than one manager away from ownership.
Michael Sabbagh
President
As a revenue driver and solutions provider, Michael Sabbagh has been the President for almost 20 years. Michael establishes short and long-term goals, plans and strategies for G&W. He makes it his goal to create, communicate and implement G&W’s vision, mission and overall direction to shareholders, employees, partners and customers alike on a daily basis.
When not in the office, Michael can be found out on the water boating, fishing and enjoying time with his family. Give him the opportunity to combine his love for travel, golf and nice cars, and you’ve described his perfect day.
John Sabbagh
Vice President
John Sabbagh oversees all aspects of sales and marketing. He uses his strategic ability to develop sound sales and marketing plans to help drive revenue and build growth for G&W. He brings a passion to his work that drives his relationship with his teams and customers. John constantly works to achieve goals and create new ones to support G&W and its customers.
When he’s not busy motivating the sales team, John enjoys boating, fishing and cheering on his favorite sports teams. And although he may never say it out loud, if you’re not a Tarheel fan, you’re not a fan.
David Sabbagh
Operations Manager
David Sabbagh oversees our service, parts and rental departments. Always looking for ways to increase productivity and improve workflow, David makes it his top priority to ensure G&W works to its fullest potential. He is always identifying potential problems and discovering key opportunities for the company.
His love for large equipment doesn’t stop when he leaves the office. Growing up, his mom always said that the best babysitter for him was a tractor. To this day, David enjoys working in his garden and on his land and, yes, that involves tractors! If he’s not out working his land, he’s likely listening to good music and strumming along on his guitar.
Tony Sabbagh
Retail Used Equipment Manager
A sales rep at heart, Tony Sabbagh works with the sales staff to ensure they get the best possible rental or off lease truck for their customers. Tony’s passion can be seen through every step of the sales and delivery process and he is a firm believer that leading by example is the only way to encourage success.
When he’s not in sales mode, you can find Tony cheering on his favorite sports teams and playing pickup basketball. While he’s a true sports fanatic, he also enjoys skateboarding with his kids and spending time outdoors.
Lisa Sabbagh
Asset Manager
Lisa has spent the last 25 years growing different parts of the business at G&W, gaining a well-rounded knowledge of the business that has given her an advantage that so few are able to have. Her role as Asset Manager with the Used Equipment team is vital in the growth of this side of the business. With her proactive approach, you can find Lisa coaching, assisting and implementing new ways of doing business for the used equipment team.
In her personal time, Lisa finds her Zen through her deep appreciation for the fine arts (and is quite the artist herself), yoga, music, food and travel.
Lyndon Kennedy
Controller
Lyndon Kennedy has been a part of the G&W family for more than 25 years. As Controller, he manages the accounting department and all financial records that leave G&W. He employs all safeguards to ensure financial stability and success. His strengths lie in his ability to make changes and adapt to the ever-shifting financial environment.
While crunching and analyzing numbers makes Lyndon happy, he also chooses to spend his time traveling the world, exploring and enjoying new foods and listening to live music.
Matt O’Brien
Director of Sales
Matt O’Brien leads the sales team in building and expanding across all G&W territories. Through prospecting, lead generation and continuing to introduce new technologies, Matt passionately provides effective training and support to his sales teams. Matt’s success-driven metrics continue to push the teams forward.
When not in the sales field, Matt spends his time practicing for a hat-trick for his ice hockey team. His passion for smoking foods and mountain biking keeps his weekends filled and active.
Tom Owens
Central Regional Sales Manager
Tom Owens brings over 25 years of sales and business development experience across multiple industries. Tom leads the Central Region Sales Team with an emphasis on building customer relationships, team collaboration and establishing sales goals toward market growth.
In his free time, Tom enjoys days on the lake with family and friends, traveling to the coast to put his feet in the sand and a line in the water. He also enjoys watching the Carolina Panthers and the ND Fighting Irish football teams. He’s always up for a new culinary experience and supporting the food truck craze!
Brian Tice
Eastern Regional Sales Manager
Brian Tice brings to the table 34 years of expertise in the equipment industry, with over 20 years specifically in forklifts and material handling. His strengths include coaching, training and developing strong sales teams by emphasizing strong product and application knowledge, as well as understanding people and processes to maximize individual and team success.
In his free time, Brian enjoys reading anything with historical significance (and is likely the owner of 105 facts that we should all know but don’t), playing a round of golf with good friends and exploring restaurants and wineries with his wife, Estela.
Chris Brown
Atlanta Field Sales Manager
Chris is responsible for the development and performance of all sales reps in the Atlanta market. With a thirst for knowledge and a passion rooted in sales, his 20-year track record of success with large account management and material handling is instrumental as he leads the team in high performance.
When not on the sales field, you can find Chris on another field – a softball field, where he coaches his two daughters. Chris’ time with his daughter and wife is precious, but combine that with a new recipe for grilling/ smoking and a Colts game on in the background, and you’ve found Chris’ sweet spot.
Ernie Davis
Coastal Regional Sales Manager
Having been a vital part of our growth in the high-capacity truck business, Ernie leads the sales reps across the Coastal area in selling products, service and our big truck provider, Kalmar. Being a US Air Force Vet and having multiple decades of experience in forklifts and material handling, Ernie is always eager to train, lead and coach his reps with his hands-on approach.
If he isn’t selling forklifts, you can find Ernie with his family and friends traveling and exploring new places. A true fisherman, he enjoys all types including everything from flyfishing in Montana to offshore fishing. And if he’s not fishing, he’s working hard on his classic and antique Chevys.
